Consign With Idaho Vintage

Turn your exceptional vintage goods, antique collections, and unique estate pieces into cash without the hassle of hosting a sale or managing online listings.

How Consignment Works

A simple, structured 3-step process to maximize the value of your items.

1
📸

Photo Pre-Screening

Do not load your truck just yet! Submit clear photos and descriptions of your items using our online form or email. We review every item to ensure it fits our current collector demand and showroom capacity.

2
🗓️

Scheduled Intake

Once your items are approved, we schedule an intake appointment. All items must be brought to our intake location clean, intact, and ready for staging or live cataloging.

3
💵

We Market & You Get Paid

We photograph, catalog, market, and sell your goods through our timed online auction and curated showcase. Once sold, payouts are processed directly on the 15th of the following month.

Commission & Payout Rates

Our commission structure rewards high-value inventory. Splits are calculated based on the final sold hammer price per individual lot or item:

Final Sale Price (Per Item / Lot) Consignor Payout Idaho Vintage Commission
$500.00 and above 70% 30%
$100.00 to $499.99 60% 40%
$20.00 to $99.99 50% 50%
Under $20.00 Items valued under $20 are grouped into lots or declined.
ℹ️

Buyer’s Premium Notice

A 15% standard buyer’s premium is added to all winning auction bids and paid directly by the purchaser. This premium offsets software cataloging fees, credit card merchant processing, bidder verification, and invoicing administration. Consignor payouts are calculated strictly from the accepted hammer price before the 15% buyer's premium is applied.

Intake & Drop-Off Standards

To ensure fairness and quality across our entire showroom, all consignors must follow these intake rules:

📅

By Appointment Only

We do not accept unannounced walk-in drop-offs. Every delivery must be confirmed in advance.

✨

Clean & Showcase-Ready

All items must be dusted, wiped down, and free of dirt, cobwebs, mold, grease, and pet hair. Items requiring extensive cleaning by our staff are subject to a $25/hour cleaning deduction.

💪

Unloading & Muscle

Consignors are responsible for unloading their own items. If you are delivering heavy furniture or large equipment, please bring adequate personal assistance.

📜

Authenticity & Legal Ownership

Consignors must hold clear, unencumbered legal title to all merchandise consigned. No stolen, encumbered, or counterfeit merchandise will be tolerated.

Consignment Timeline & Forfeiture Policy

Clear rules protect our showroom floor space and guarantee timely turns.

60 Days

Strict 60-Day Consignment Period

Items are accepted for an active sales window of 60 calendar days. During this window, Idaho Vintage retains exclusive selling rights through our online auction catalogs, retail showroom, or special events.

Pricing

Pricing & Markdown Rights

Unless a written reserve is agreed upon during intake for high-ticket items ($200+), pricing and auction opening bids are set at the sole discretion of Idaho Vintage based on market comps and past realized prices.

48 Hours

Unsold Items & Mandatory 48-Hour Pickup

If an item does not sell during the 60-day consignment window, Idaho Vintage will issue an unsold notice via email and SMS text. Consignors must pick up unsold merchandise within 48 hours of notification.

⚠️

Important Property Forfeiture Notice

Any item not retrieved within five (5) business days following notification shall immediately become the sole property of Idaho Vintage. At that point, Idaho Vintage reserves full legal right to donate, liquidate, discard, or resell the abandoned property at a clearance rate, with 100% of proceeds retained by Idaho Vintage to offset handling and storage expenses.

🛡️

Limitation of Liability

While Idaho Vintage maintains secure facilities and takes every reasonable precaution to safeguard consigned property, items are displayed, stored, and transported at the consignor's sole risk. Idaho Vintage is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, breakage, or environmental decay resulting from handling, fire, water, acts of God, or third-party actions. Consignors are encouraged to maintain independent insurance coverage on valuable pieces.
